Brand new Bluebella Swim! Make waves...

Bluebella does Swim!

The time's finally come - Bluebella launches Swimwear...make waves!
We couldn’t be looking forward to summer more, and here at Bluebella we have some very exciting news that’ll help fully shake off those winter blues and get you pumped for blue skies and warm weather. You guys asked for it, and we listened...we're introducing our very first Swimwear collection!
We decided to take the Bluebella styles you know and love and put all that loveliness into creating an equally well-priced but simultaneously luxurious Swim Collection.
Bluebella Swim Swimwear new in bikini soft wired swimsuit fishnet beach pool summer collection sheer wet water sexy lingerie sea cutout sheer waves
Now you can feel just as Bluebella-fabulous whilst lounging by the pool or at the beach (though also possible in Bluebella Lingerie). So sit back, relax, and feast your eyes on our gorgeous new pieces, designed to make a splash!
Introducing our stunning new Aegean Bikini Top and Brief! This bold two piece is bound to make a statement, with clean cut contrasting panels teamed with delicate mesh inserts. A modern classic, simple yet oh-so effective and stylish.
You’re also going to adore our Aegean Swimsuit. Bold panels and mesh inserts, combined with a daring open back, embrace the figure and flatter the physique. Make a striking statement whilst sipping cocktails at a beach bar or immersing yourself in a book poolside.
Our Catalan Swimsuit emits major Baywatch vibes, and you too can feel fabulous jogging in slow motion along sandy shores (N.B. 'The Hoff' is not included). Dramatic panelling draws the eye inwards, enhancing the physique, and is completed with a contrasting functional zip down the centre front. This gorgeous piece is available in Black (with the contrast zip in striking pink) and White (with a black zip and trim), designed to complement and enhance your holiday tan.
At Bluebella we love all things lace, and our beautiful new Cilicia Swimsuit really embraces this outlook. Delicate guipure embellishes the blush pink panels, beautifully contrasting the sultry black. A daring low-cut neckline draws focus and flatters the shape, carefully balancing the silhouette. We predict this piece will be filling up Instagram feeds this summer and we’re not complaining!
Our Kariba Bikini Bra and Bikini Brief is another perfect set for ‘gramming this season. Fashion-forward fishnet on our Rose Dust pink is a combo you'll recognise from our Fern Bra and High-waist Bikini Brief, only now you can rock the look chilling by the pool. The Bikini Brief's bold side panels flatter the hips, while the high-neck halter shape of the Bikini Bra enhances the shoulders.
We’re also embracing the fishnet with our seductive new Levantine Wired Bikini Top and Brief. Sensual soft netting encases the structured cups, peaking in a high apex on the shoulder, flattering and elongating the figure. The wrap-around design of the Bikini Brief gently caresses the waist. Release your inner femme fatale.
Embrace your inner Bond girl in our retro-inspired Samar Swimsuit. This fabulous asymmetrical piece is designed to flatter and delight. The shoulder strap is fixed with with a stunning oversized gold ring, whilst the carefully calculated cut-outs help to create fluidity and shape. This piece is to Die Another Day For, From Bluebella with Love...
Our Sargasso Body is the perfect staple for every holiday wardrobe. This dreamy piece has stunning statement strapping, whilst the daring low V neckline draws the eye inwards, creating an overall sense of allure. You’ll feel like you can conquer the world. Or margaritas by the pool, at the very least.

#BESTRONGBEBEAUTIFUL

Join Our Conversation This Summer...

During this incredible summer of sport, we have launched a very exciting campaign called #BeStrongBeBeautiful to start a conversation around strength and beauty.
We have teamed up with three amazing athletes to celebrate the strong female form and to hopefully encourage women of all abilities to feel confident in enjoying sport and be proud of their bodies. As Emma Watson discussed in her ‘He for She’ campaign, too many girls and women are still inhibited from following their sporting dreams due to perceived opinion around a strong female form not looking feminine. The biggest misconception is that female athletes are tomboys, their physical strength makes them unfeminine, they don’t fit into the mould of ‘the pretty girl’.
We want to teach girls that femininity does not indicate weakness, just as masculinity does not equal strength. We believe that every woman, whether she’s a fitness fanatic, a once-a-week gym goer or looking to simply start a sporting hobby, should have the confidence to work her body how she wants and be proud of her inner and outer strength.
We're proud to have worked with three incredibly inspirational women on this campaign, who are all expected to be stars of the summer - Amber Hill, Stefanie Reid and Bryony Shaw. All of them have been on their own personal journeys in regards to their bodies, confidence and strength and want to encourage women of all ages to enjoy sport and be proud of their bodies.
#BeStrongBeBeautiful is all about taking control and having the confidence to build the body you want to build, regardless of outdated ideas about femininity and muscularity. Over the next few weeks, we'll be discussing the campaign on our social media platforms and we want you to join in the conversation too! For exclusive behind the scenes footage, one-to-one interviews and much more, head over to our dedicated page now!

BLUEBELLA Q&A: WOLF & MOON

BLUEBELLA X WOLF & MOON: INTERVIEW WITH FOUNDER HANNAH DAVIS

Lingerie and jewellery go so well together!

We love working with other brands that we adore and we were super excited when East London jewellery brand
Wolf & Moon wanted to team up with us. Founded by Hannah Davis, like us, Wolf & Moon prides itself on being a female-led entrepreneurial brand and offers amazing designs at affordable prices. Because we love amazing jewellery just like the next girl does, we wanted to show you how to style up our favourite Bluebella pieces with the Wolf & Moon pieces we're totally obsessed with...
First though, check out our exclusive chat with Wolf & Moon founder Hannah and find out all about the brand...

Q: TELL US ABOUT WOLF & MOON

Hannah: We're an independent jewellery brand based in East London. Our jewellery is graphic, modern and playful - we love to mix up colour, texture and shape creating a unique aesthetic. All pieces are handmade in our workshop by our small team of skilled makers.

Q: HOW DID YOU START THE BRAND?

Hannah: I started making jewellery when I was very young, but when I moved to London for university I got the opportunity to start selling my pieces on a market stall every weekend. It was so satisfying selling pieces I had made and seeing customers return with their friends the following week. It went from there really - I picked up a few stockists, opened an online shop and when I graduated I started taking on assistants to help with the work load!

Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE PIECES FOR SS16?

Hannah: My favourite pieces are the Column earrings (left) - I've found they go with everything and aren't too dressy for daywear. Also the Marble U necklace - I'm really happy with the marble pattern and love the combination of materials in this piece.

Q: WHY DO YOU THINK LINGERIE AND ACCESSORIES ARE SO IMPORTANT?

Hannah: Wearing pretty lingerie makes me feel great inside even if  no one else will see it. Accessories can transform an outfit and really say something unique about who I am. I would say both are super important in helping us feel good about ourselves, inside and out!

Q: WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE BLUEBELLA X WOLF & MOON COLLABORATION?

Hannah: I loved the chance to photograph our jewellery alongside another brand, especially lingerie, which we haven't done before. It's always a challenge photographing something new but they worked really well together!

Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE BLUEBELLA PIECE?

Hannah: I love the Raya Soft bra (first picture, above) - it's feminine but with an edgy side to it.

Q: ANY ACCESSORY STYLING TIPS FOR THE SUMMER AHEAD?

Hannah: In the summer I love wearing longer pendants over loose-fitting dresses for a more relaxed look.

Q: WHERE WILL YOU BE MOST LIKELY HANGING OUT THIS SUMMER?

Hannah: I'm taking the brand to two festivals this summer - Latitude and Wilderness! Come hang out with us!

SEPHY

Our favourite babe of Instagram, Nyane Lebajoa, is a huge fan of Bluebella and has picked out lots of her summer favourites including our new Sephy cami. Gorgeously lightweight and effortlessly elegant, the crossback straps and front cut-out detail add a modern twist to this simple one piece. Nyane loves how she can wear this as outerwear... rock her look by teaming with one of the season's hottest trends, a stand-out chocker, plus a pair of heels and you've got a weekend-ready outfit right there.

ARIA

One of our favourite style staples for festival planning, the Aria has arrived for summer in a radiant white. The high-necked racer back shape and bold sheer mesh paneling makes this number the ultimate choice for those who want to hit the hot weather in a chic all-in-one. Team with high-waisted denim shorts, oversized sunnies and chunky boots and you have yourself a festival-ready look in minutes. Available in black too.

INES IVORY

The dramatic design of the Ines was one of our favourites for AW15 and we're excited to introduce our updated colourway for the summer season. The  Ines  ivory combines gorgeous guipure lace detail with a bold frame to create a fearlessly feminine style. Finish off the look with our signature harness and ouvert briefs before slipping underneath a summer dress to make your seasonal style just that little bit more provocative...

LUNA

If you're a fan of the Nova, our most Instagrammed product *ever*, then you'll love the contemporary addition of the Luna. Provocative paneling embellished with a fashion forward design detailing, this cut-away style is the ultimate choice to show off your sexiness in a sassy and chic way. Beach babe Natali Miru loves the style, complete with the ouvert briefs - a daring design that is made to be seen.

OUR FAVOURITE LOOKS FROM SPRING 2017 BRIDAL WEEK!

OUR FAVOURITE LOOKS FROM SPRING 2017 BRIDAL WEEK!

The hottest looks from the bridal world...
Spring 2017 New York International Bridal Week, THE hottest date in the Bridal world's calendar, has just wrapped up for another season. With lots of gorgeous gowns, luxurious ivory and stunning ideas, we give you the low down on the hottest trends from across the pond. These will be the trends for 2017 so if you're a Bride-To-Be for next year, then you are in the right place!

SHORT AND SWEET

Iconic British designer Temperley is renowned for her Bridal collection and she didn't disappoint in the Big Apple. Shunning the traditional floor length gown, Temperley and other designers including Oscar de la Renta, opted for vintage-inspired thigh-skimming dresses. We've fallen in love with this utterly gorgeous number with its floaty ruffles and high-necked mesh, pulled in with a beautiful satin band. Our delicately styled Raya would be the perfect match for this kind of style, with gorgeous eyelash detail lace and feminine allure...

HIGH HALTERS
Lots of our lingerie looks include halterneck styles so we were excited to see the Haute Couture crowd leading the way for the Bridal brigade. Lela Rose (left), Christian Siriano and Temperley (below) led the look and we love the embellished elegance of jewel-encrusted necklines, the perfect way to subtly add-on stylish glamour.

CHIC CAPLETS
We obviously adore any style that showcases lingerie and we loved Monique Lhuillier's (left) flowing three-tiered skirt paired with a sumptuous scalloped edge lace top, which shows off the nude tones of the beautiful bralet underneath. The covered arms and high neck means the look still looks gorgeously feminine and teamed with luscious long hair, it's a great way to show off a subtle hint of sexy on your big day. Our Raya Soft Cup would bring an edgy feel to this look.

PERFECT PANTS
If you're not a dress kinda girl, then there is most certainly power in the pants these days. Elegant jumpsuits and fabulously fitted trousers can play center stage just as well as a traditional dress can. We adore this Carolina Herrera ever-so-chic one piece as it's a sassy and smart take on Bridalwear, showing off the feminine form in a beautifully elegant way. The sharpness of the collar contrasting with the veil gives it an edgy yet delicate appeal... love!

A BRIEF HISTORY OF LINGERIE

 GET UNDRESSED WITH HISTORY

The highly-anticipated exhibition at the V&A is opening soon! (Picture source: The Guardian)
We're really excited about the forthcoming V&A exhibition which focuses on our number one favourite thing, lingerie. It's been on the cards for a while now having been first announced back in November and 'Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear' is set to be one of the most talked about exhibitions of the year.
Opening its doors on Saturday 16th April, the exhibition promises to explore lingerie through the decades, looking at the practicalities of underwear and its role in the fashionable wardrobe whilst highlighting its sensual and sexual appeal. In anticipation, we thought we'd look back at some of the most iconic moments in modern lingerie history. We've already got ourtickets so make sure you get yours too, plus keep your eyes peeled for an exclusive competition we'll be running!

MARILYN THE LINGERIE MODEL (1945)

Before she was a super star on the Hollywood scene, Marilyn Monroe put her famous curves to good use and starred in numerous lingerie advertising campaigns. In the 40's, the adverts were painted by hand! It's safe to say she definitely carved out her role as one of the leading ladies of lingerie as both a  model and an actress.

 LIZ TAYLOR'S SLIP (1954)

One of the most iconic images in cinematic history is this sultry and sexy pose from Liz Taylor in 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof', as she played the Oscar-nominated Maggie 'the Cat' Pollitt and lounged around on a boudoir-esque bed in a simple chic white slip and heels. Divine...

BETTY THE PIN UP (1950S)

While most women were in girdles, there was one woman breaking the rules. Notorious pin-up girl Bettie Page made her name wearing rather more risque lingerie and whips, rubber and bondage gear were regular accessories. This was one woman who certainly knew what she wanted...

DISCO PANTS (1974)

The cover of Roxy Music's Country Life album featured two models wearing decadent, disco-inspired lingerie that was representative of the glitterball-filled dancing everybody was doing. It was deemed super rude and even the Dutch banned it.

PERK & POINTY (1990)

Of course we couldn't look at modern lingerie history without paying homage to the Queen of pop, Madonna, who in the height of her career, ushered in a new way of wearing underwear... as outerwear, of course. Styling up stage outfits like this one from her Blonde Ambition tour, which was styled by Jean Paul Gaultier, she made her mark on pointy bras that will be forever etched in lingerie history.
